Scheimpflug principle - The orientation of the plane of sharp focus varies with the orientation of both the front and rear standards of a view camera. Imaginary lines extending from the plane and the two standards all meet at a common point. Useful for calculating how much to tilt or swing the lens and film back so that one plane in the subject is perfectly sharp.
